CdSeTe/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) are nanoscale semiconductor particles with a core of cadmium selenide telluride (CdSeTe) and a shell layer of zinc sulfide (ZnS). In order to make CdSeTe/ZnS QDs water-soluble, the surface of the QDs is typically modified with hydrophilic functional groups.
